Harvey Bernady"holidays 01" "Great home in a terrific town" We spent a week at this property in early July 2015 - 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. The other reviews posted here are spot on. The house is a newer home, well appointed and it has a terrific view of the city of Tropea. The house has a lovely garden with lemon trees and roses. Cristian was a wonderful host as was his family who drove us to town when needed but also made a number of fabulous lunches for us. Tropea itself is a small coastal town with many great restaurants, a beautiful beach and lots todo and see. Having been to other parts of Italy before, I would highly recommend Calabria as a destination.England2015-07-05

Italia2015-06-22
Maelie Bernier"holidays 02" "Small paradise" We had a wonderful stay in this amazing house in Tropea. The pictures on the website don't even do it justice.) I highly recommend this property. The location of the property is really nice. On a clear day you can see Stromboli from balcony. The view is really adorable. It is not far from the center, but it is located in very quite side. So to my opinion it is perfect The owner is very gentle and kind. Thank you. We will come back for sure!Canada2015-04-28
Hughes Amice"holidays 01" We visited Tropea with a family of 5 for one week in the end of April, with a mild temperature of about 23 degrees Celcius. We had a very pleasant stay. The house provides everything you need as a tourist, place to park the car, clean rooms, good beds, a complete kitchen, a nice balcony with view at the see and the Stromboli, and a garden with fruit trees and a beautiful view at the see, where you can have breakfase and enjoy the sun (and also have sufficient shadow, if needed). Cristian Buttafuoco and his family were excellent hosts and were prepared to help is with any question, and spoiled us with fresh fruit from the garden and fresh-baked lemon-cookies. The house is in the hills and can be accessed via a rather small and steep road, but even with our large Opel Insigna that was really not a problem. The center of the village and the beach can be reached by foot, which takes a 10-15min walk. Tropea is a very nice and friendly village. Other nice places to go to are Reggio Calabria, and Capo Vaticano.England2015-04-26
Lisa Gambardella"holidays 03" Clean apartment and excellent host! We just returned from a 12 day stay in Tropea. Cristian is an amazing host. He is honest and has a very good reputation in Tropea. He always made himself available whenever we needed something. We were late arriving into Tropea because my daughter was sick and he was waiting to greet us at the train station even in the early hours of the morning. The apartment is very very clean and spacious. The building is very well maintained. The air conditioning and water pressure for taking a shower were excellent. The apartment does not have WiFi, but Cristian does provide you with an internet key. Unfortunately, it didn't work for us, but Cristian tried his best to help us with it. We were within walking distance to beach and to the city centre of Tropea. There are many bakeries and supermarkets close by. I definitely plan to go back to Tropea and I would highly recommend this property. Recommended for: Sightseeing, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers Canada2015-04-25
Emma Morin"holidays 01" we would highly recommend this house as it contained everything we could need and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and his family was outstanding.Yes it was a steep climb but that was the price we paid to have such stunning views and you are in the Italian countryside after all.We would certainly return and recommend to all our friends.Canada2014-10-05
Charlie Bergeron "holidays 02" We stayed at Cristian's villa for 7 nights and it was a perfect setting for two. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Sitting under the pergola with a glass of home made wine watching the sun set was beautiful and peaceful. Tropea is a lovely town with many excellent restaurants. The trip to Stromboli is well worth doing and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of seeing the live volcano at sun set. Beaches are nearby where we were able to swim. Cristian was a very helpful host and gave us good advice when asked. We would recommend this villa. Canada2014-07-19
Alisya Lee"holidays 02" High up in the hills, overlooking Tropea. The sun terrace is to die for. Beautiful lemon trees to be picked for lemon tea in the morning. Christian on site but unobtrusive. Tropea is a brilliant town, small, with oh so many excellent restaurants. La Lamia is a starter. You can find the rest for yourself. They're all excellent places to eat, especially sea food. The downside. We drove from Lamezia airport and that was fine. But Tropea is a nightmare for driving. Cars coming from all angles. Better to drive down from the villa, park up quickly and walk through the town. Oh yes, the drive from villa to town is tricky. Coming back at night is even more so. England2014-07-01
Alden Brown(holiday 02)We were made extremely welcome. Everything that we wanted to know was explained. The house is comfortable. The market is only a few minutes away by car or for a fit person, for fresh meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and bread.England2014-03-16
